The 2021+ BMW G8X M2, M3, and M4 run an oil cooler mounted low at the front of the car, directly in the path of the rocks, debris, and hard contact that come with spirited street driving and track use. The factory setup leaves that cooler exposed. The Mishimoto Titanium Skid Plate shields it with a plate built from titanium - a material with 78% higher tensile strength than aluminum - so it absorbs strikes and ground contact with far less deformation than a conventional aluminum plate. ---- Protection here doesn’t come at the cost of cooling.
